Need help setting a canonical url was created by yaksushi
I'm trying to set a canonical url for the following links
http://www.yakangler.com/articles/news/new-products/boats/item/1442-jackson-kayak-launches-the-%E2%80%9Cbig-tuna%E2%80%9D

http://www.yakangler.com/articles/news/new-products/boats/item/1442-jackson-kayak-launches-the-"big-tuna"

the canonical link for the above urls should be
http://www.yakangler.com/articles/news/new-products/boats/item/1442-jackson-kayak-launches-the-big-tuna

But TAG Meta doesn't seem to be adding the canonical reference in the source for those two urls.

Hi,
sorry for delay (I'm on vacancy). Try to create a rule as follow:
^/articles/news/new-products/boats/item/1442-jackson-kayak-launches-the

And add the canonical:
http://{siteurl}/articles/news/new-products/boats/item/1442-jackson-kayak-launches-the-big-tuna

After this, call the page on a browser and check that hits counter for that rule increases. Please, advise.

GRRR... Ok I used your same example to try and do it for some new pages that I need to add a canonical ref to solve some duplicate content issues but it's not working.
http://www.yakangler.com/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/5-Louisville%2BKayak%2BFishing

needs the canonical link to be
http://www.yakangler.com/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/5-louisville-kayak-fishing

and
http://www.yakangler.com/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/1-Kentucky%2BKayak%2BFishing

needs the canonical link to be
http://www.yakangler.com/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/1-kentucky-kayak-fishing

I tried doing the following:

rule: ^/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/5-Louisville
canonical: http://{siteurl}/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/5-louisville-kayak-fishing

rule: ^/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/1-Kentucky
canonical: http://{siteurl}/yaksocial/groups/viewgroup/1-kentucky-kayak-fishing

but neither rules are working.

Maybe you should uncheck the case-sensitive option, or use all lowercase chars. Try and let me know...
