Redirect not working was created by alexervik
Hi,
First, thanks for a great extention.
I've installed ReDJ and I'm trying to get it to work! But it doesn't want to redirect any old urls to new ones.

Please help out, installed it according to documentation. Also the built in redirect of joomla 2.5.11 does not work either. I thought it maybe was because of the htaccess file, but I tried just now replacing it with the original one from the joomla 2.5.11 package, still no go. Clear cache all the way, to see if that was the problem, still no go... any suggestions?

Hi,
could you, please, post your redirection rule here? I need to check the syntax.

Hi,

I'm using version 2.5.11 as well and also get absolutely no redirects  .

Here's the syntax I used:

From URL: /QR2/*$
To URL: http://{siteurl}/index.php

That did nothing. So then I tried to be explicit:

From URL: www.mychiffoncakes.com/QR2
To URL: www.mychiffoncakes.com/index.php

And that did the same thing, namely:

Not Found

The requested URL /QR2 was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at www.mychiffoncakes.com Port 80

I also cleaned the Joomla and browser cache. And the built-in redirect isn't working for me either.

Really appreciate your help, and yes, the extension is great I'm sure. Would love to get to bottom of this... it's been a very frustrating 4 hours :S .

Thanks!

Hi,
this seems an Apache error, not ReDJ one. Can you see the blank error page? This is provided by Apache, BEFORE the request comes to Joomla or ReDJ. So there's nothing that ReDJ can do, and also this is so frustrating for ReDJ ... :)

Send me your .htaccess file.

Kind regards,
Luigi

Thanks, Luigi, for the quick reply!
Here's my htaccess.txt file (.htacess was empty, that's probably the issue, huh? :woohoo: ):
