Problem with 404 page was created by marcel555
Hi Luigi,

I have an issue with the 404 page: On pages which does not exist (i.e. "/example.html") the correct 404 page shows up - but after a short while (about 2 seconds in IE, almost imediately in Chrome) the startpage of my website is shown. And more: The startpage contains a message box "Article not found" and special characters on the startpage are not handled properly. (i.e. German umlauts are shown as "ü" and similar. Perhaps a UTF-8 issue. But normally the startpage is being shown correctly.)

At least, the correct server status (404) is delivered.

I have a very simple ReDJ error page with not macros yet. And I tried it with the htaccess addition "ErrorDocument 404 /", but it failed with and without this line. ReDJ is also on the first place of the system plug-ins. The Joomla redirection plug-in is disabled.

I use Joomla 2.5.8 and ReDJ 1.6.2 Enterprise.

Could you help me with this, please?

Thank you very much
Marcel

Please,
check is the Joomla redirector plugin is still enabled, and try to disable if you don't use it. Maybe this solves, please advise.
