help Luigi - can't get redirect to work was created by inkamloops
Hi Luigi - I have tried everything I can think of but can't get the redirect working on my new site.

On my old site, you helped me too to get started and I remember you had to access admin to get it working. Maybe you might have to this time too but I hope not - I want to learn how to solve it myself. Anyhow, ... here it is:

Website: inkamloops.ca
From URL: ^/wct$
To URL: inkamloops.ca/index.php/2-uncategorised/2-wct

It is internal redirect.
But it doesn't work. I get a 404 error.

Please can you guide or help me?

BTW, I have also substituted {siteurl} for the website name and it didn't work either.
Thanks in advance! :)

Hi,
it's simple, your screenshot show me the way ... :)

You should just add a row at the end of .htaccess file:
ErrorDocument 404 /

It should solve.

Kind regards,
Luigi

P.S. Your rule rocks ;)

Thanks for your reply Luigi. I opened my htaccess file and it has this line in it:

## Add this ErrorDocument code based on ReDJ documentation
#
ErrorDocument 404 /
#
##

I'm sure that is what you meant right? (And it has your fingerprints all over it to I must add ;)

It still didn't work.

You know Luigi, my htaccess code is name thus "htaccess", not ".htaccess" (missing ".")

Would that be the problem? I tried renaming it to ".htaccess" without success. I got "FileOp Failure: destination already exists" error message.

Of course.
The file MUST have the name .htaccess, otherwise it will be ignored by Apache.

IT WORKS!

Thanks Luigi for you guidance. I contacted my host and the .htaccess file was hidden so I didn't see it. They replaced it with the correct one and now ReDJ works GREAT!

I love ReDJ!

Thanks again.
Merry Christmas!
