Redirect not working

Redirect not working was created by veganvixen
Hi,

I am changing my main site from mysite.com to www.mynewsite.com. So all links from the www.mysite.com site will redirect to the corresponding pages on mynewsite.com.

I tested with the one below, but it is not working. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

DIRECT FROM:
^/blog/8-site-launch

TO:
{scheme}://{www.mynewsite.com/blog/8-site-launch}/

Hi,
create a rule as follow (literally):
From URL: ^/blog/8-site-launch$
To URL: http://www.mynewdomain.com{path}
Request only: true (checked)

Your rule's target seems to be wrong.

I created the rule exactly as you stated and it is not working. Can I share the actual live link with you privately?

Luigi.....

I spoke to soon. This is not working. Now I am getting duplicate in the url as noted below:

FROM:
^/contact$

TO:
www.mynewsite.com/contact{path}

HOWEVER....the redirect url is taking to the path below and duplicating the page!

www.mynewsite.com/contact/contact

It is still redirecting to this bad url after I disable the rule in the back end. And even after clearing cache and cookies? Why is this happening?!
