I have installed the new version and it did not solve my issue. I have looked at the code. I checked the user_usergroup_map table using a die statement just before the return statement in the setGroupAfterRegistration function and a record has been added to the table with the correct information. However, the record isn't there if I let the code run to completion.

Thanks for working with me in a remote session to figure out my issue. The 1.7 version that you emailed to me works great. Having AutoGroup triggered on onUserActive instead of onUserRegistration worked for me because I autoconfirm the user registration.
