				Hi,
I installed ReDJ some time ago and the 301 redirects worked great!
However, Google's Webmaster Tools are showing fifty 404 errors. Can you please help me to get these corrected? I enabled the System - ReDJ plugin and set to Custom page 404 and yes to redirect. I put in the full Redirect URL. However, it is not working.
Help is so appreciated!

I forgot to add that there are also over 600 access denied errors with a 401 code. These are all related a component I used. An example error of these is:
component/widgetkit/?p=image&w=632&h=450&strategy=&file=images%2Fweb%2FVFA1.jpg&hash=066ad9db1ff894c90854b32957032fa5
Help with these is also appreciated!

				Hi,
sorry but I don't understand what you want to do. The 401 could stay, no need to redirect them. About the 404, you could create a rule to redirect them, but you didn't post any example URL so I can't help you to build the rule...
Kind regards

So you think it is OK to ignore the 401 errors? There are over 600 of them. I just don't want this to affect my ranking.
Regarding the 404 errors, sorry I did not give examples. Below are a few.
www.mysite.com/links/19-music/5-mbm.html
http://www.mysite.comaccordion-b/level-2
http://www.mysite.comsample-levels/level-21/level-3/level-4
The examples below here are strange because I created 301 redirects for these without the html because I had set friendly url's in Joomla:
www.mysite.comportfolio/print.html
www.mysite.comportfolio/logos.html
Help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

				NO,
I think 401 (Unauthorized) should not be generated if not necessary. But once generated, you cannot redirect them, so you should only check why are generated.
About 404 errors, it seems they are ALL different so it's not possible to create one or few rules to match them all. In this case you can redirect them from the error tab. Sort them by hits and start to "single-redirect" one by one. This kind of redirect is best then rules for performances.
Kind regards.

I have no idea why the 401's are generated. I posted in the Joomla forum so I hope to get some help with this.
How do I redirect the 404's with the error tab? I do not understand. Are you saying I should see them in the error tab because I don't. Google webmaster tool is showing these from my old site. I redesigned my site and all the pages they are showing with a 404 do not exist.
