Problem with jbackend configuration was created by gigi75
Hi
I downloaded jbackend and uploaded it to my local Joomla installation (http://localhost/cultivar/).
I configured it following instruction explained here:

www.selfget.com/documentation/jbackend-joomla30.html

(activated plugins, defined an item menu for free access type amd so on)

First of all, I don't understand which is my EndPoint.

I tried with URL
http://localhost/cultivar/index.php/jbackend/rest/get/content/categories
but I receive "Errore: 404 Categoria non trovata"

I attached the complete error
thanks in advance
gg

Hi gg,
the endpoint is the menu item UR. You could publish it on a visible menu and just copy link from the frontend, then move again in a hidden menu. The URL includes the menu alias, so if the menu alias is "jbackend" maybe in your case the endpoint URL could be:

http://localhost/cultivar/index.php/jbackend/get/content/categories

Kind regards,
Luigi

Hi Luigi
thanks for suggestion. Finally this night I was able to invoke REST ws.
I used exaclty link discovered as you described (direct link for my menù entry). So my menù entry alias is "rest" and link is

http://localhost/cultivar/index.php/rest/get/content/categories

Only a question regarding hidden menù. How can I define a menù as hidden menù? I haven't this option
thanksa again
Luigi

Just create a brand new menu as follow:

And DO NOT associate to any menu module as follow:

That's all,
Luigi
