Redirect vm2 non-sef address to vm2/joomla sef add was created by putrix16

Hi,

Currently I have just enabled joomla & virtuemart2's SEF URLs. So my old vm2's URLs are still accessible. I am trying to redirect them using reDJ. But it doesn't work.

This is my old URL: www.mummytoon.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=virtuemart&Itemid=101
new URL: www.mummytoon.com

Any help will be appreciated, thank you

Hi,
it seems you want to redirect an old VM URL to the home so create this rule (literally):

From URL: ^/index\.php\?option=com_virtuemart&view=virtuemart&Itemid=101$
To URL: http://{siteurl}/
Request only: true (checked)

As you can see you just need to escape special chars. But you could do much more with ReDJ then redirect to home...

Thank you so much for your reply and help, now it's working.

I am trying to redirect more pages now, and I get some problems with those pages which have product details and whatnot.
Example:
Old url: mummytoon.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=885&virtuemart_category_id=27&Itemid=157

New url: www.mummytoon.com/mummy/skin-care/gaia-baby-moisturiser-detail

I tried to follow the previous format you have given me, but to no avail.

Oh, I managed to do it properly now for all the other links. There was a careless mistake on my part.
