Hi,
the problem with www.dental-implants.com/no_teeth.htm is that the blank error page you see is provided by Apache (no way for Joomla or ReDJ to do something). To manage these URLs you just need to add this at the end of .htaccess file:
ErrorDocument 404 /

After this, you should at least see a different error page (do not forget to clear browser cache).

That seems to do it... I will play with it a while and see what happens.... I am redirecting erros right back to my home page and that seems to work just fine now...

OK...

I just want to update you and perhaps get a little more direction....

Under "Redirects", I havethe following as the first entry:

^/dental-implants-news/ for the from URL and http://{siteurl} for the to URL...

That seems to be working fine with 115630 hits since I set it up. ( I used to have taps into the news feeds and that generated a lot of stuff).

Of course, my webmaster tools had about 30,000 errors because it can npo longer find these news stories, but I marked them as fixed today and lets see what it comes up with...

Anything else I should do here?


Regarding the 404 page... I have one set up to send stuff to www.dental-implants.com/index.php/my-404-page, but I think it is not set up correctly since it is getting no hits and The page it goes to has some extra joomla stuff on it. The page is linked to the General Info menu on my site (dental-implants.com)???

If you are happy with redirecting all URLs under /dental-implants-news/ to the homepage, there's nothing more.

About the second question, it is not clear to me how you configured your site to return this error page. Can you add more details?
