Not working for this newbie was created by dmazzola
I'm just getting started, after my web developer installed the ReDJ component and ReDJ Community plugin for my Joomla 2.5 site. As far as I can tell, everything looks enabled. I started adding in redirect rules and testing them by finding the old indexed pages on the SERPS and clicking on the links - nothing is redirecting to my new site; everything is getting 404'd.

Is this something I can address as I add in the redirect rules, or is it a configuration issue that I need my web developer to fix?

Hi,
the first thing that usually newbies don't know is ReDJ rules are regular expressions. This means a ReDJ rule can manage many redirects. It can also be used for one-on-one redirect but special chars like the question mark must be escaped (replace ? with \?).

I can help you to fix your rules, but you should send me a dump of redj table. Post here or send an email at info(at)selfget.com.

Kind regards.
Luigi
