Greetings,
I migrated client's site from J 1.0 to 3.x and now I have a lots of 404 errors with content links that are indexed.

This was J 1.0 link structure
www.soundguardian.com//content/view/31516/49/ ...31516 being article ID
...and now on 3.x is
www.soundguardian.com/novosti/31483-magicna-chinawoman-dolazi-u-zagreb

When migrated, content id changed, and now there is no really connection between those two articles (expect titles stayed completely same)

Can I have any miraculous solution to make some redirects with your component.
The problem is that there is more than 10 000 articles in the database so I cant do it manually : (

Thanks in advance,
Sasa

Hi Sasa,
if the article alias is the same it could be possible to make the magic provided that you have access to the old table or at least to a table with the association between 31516 (old id) and (current) alias.

Kind regards,
Luigi

Hello Luigi,
the old database is available online, but problem is that old Joomla 1.0 didn't create aliases automatically... only if user manually entered it (so now all alliases are blank on old site).
Only when there would be a way to run some kind of script on old database to generate aliases from titles... and then connect it somehow (because titles stayed the same, and J 3.x generated aliases automatically from titles)

Thanks a lot for trying to help me.

Hi Sasa,
so it could be done... maybe it is not necessary using title instead of alias. Are you able to use ReDJ macros?
{tableselect table,column,key}value{/tableselect}

Returns result of a SQL query (SELECT column FROM table WHERE key = value).

Kind regards,
Luigi
